How accurate is the guidance?
Word meanings, grammar, and Family Companion recommendations come from Google's Gemini AI. It's good, but it isn't infallible — rare words and unusual verse forms can trip it up. We show a source attribution for known scripture verses (e.g., Bhagavad Gita 2.47) so you can double-check, and nothing in the app is meant to replace a teacher or a traditional translation for passages that matter to you. What happens to my data?
If you never sign in, everything stays in your own browser — nothing personal reaches us. If you sign in with Google, we store your name, email, photo, bookmarks, tags, and practice stats so you can pick up where you left off — visible only to you. We don't sell data or run ads. Do you use tracking cookies?
No. We use your browser's local storage for preferences (theme, language) and to cache verses for speed — not to track you across the web. Firebase keeps you signed in without a cookie. Full detail in our Cookies Policy.
Signing in safely
Sign-in is optional and uses Google Sign-In only — we never see or store a password. Signing in just unlocks bookmarks, tags, and streak/progress tracking; every core feature works fully as a guest.
Families & children
Slokas is built with families in mind, but today there's no separate kids' account type or age verification. If a child in your family uses Slokas, we recommend a parent or guardian create and manage the sign-in, and sit with younger children while they explore. Content here is educational and devotional, not a substitute for guidance from a parent, teacher, or religious leader.
Payments & refunds
Slokas's core features are free. Any paid plan or purchase is handled by PayPal and Razorpay, shows its price before you pay, and comes with a 7-day refund window — details in our Refund Policy.
