The short answer

Slokas doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't run ads. We use your browser's own local storage to remember your preferences and speed up repeat visits, and Google Firebase keeps you signed in without setting a cookie at all.

What we use instead of cookies

Modern browsers offer a few storage mechanisms beyond cookies. Here is every key Slokas stores in yours:

firebase:authUser:…	IndexedDB / localStorage	Managed entirely by Google's Firebase SDK to keep you signed in between visits — not something we read or write directly.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics, Google's own product-analytics SDK, to understand feature usage in aggregate (for example, which languages or verse types are popular). It isn't a separate third-party ad-tracking pixel, and we don't layer any other analytics or advertising script on top of it.

No advertising cookies

Slokas doesn't display ads, so we have no reason to use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't.

Payment processor cookies

If you make a purchase, PayPal and Razorpay's own checkout page may set cookies needed to process your payment securely (for example, fraud prevention or session cookies during checkout). Those are set by PayPal and Razorpay, not by Slokas, and are governed by their own cookie and privacy policies rather than this one — see our Privacy Policy for more on what we receive from a purchase.

Managing or clearing this storage

You can clear everything above at any time through your browser's settings (usually under "Privacy & security → Clear browsing data," scoped to this site). Doing so is safe: it will sign you out, reset your theme/language back to default, and clear your local verse cache — nothing else on your account is affected, since your bookmarks and stats live in our database, not your browser.

Changes to This Policy

If the storage we use changes meaningfully, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
